Number 6048 heads up the parade through Taft BC followed by 6011 and out black friend 3253. The rest of the engine numbers either went unrecorded or were lost somewhere under the car seat. Who knows? The first three elephant style and the rest looking back from where they came. Three wearing the small Multi-mark and the rest sporting the newer, simpler design.
At this location the highway ran parallel with the track for some distance and pretty much on the same level. Small logging roads and other industrial grade crossings offer clearings in the trees where you can get great photos of slow moving trains. The ditches are well maintained and the ballast is new and clean. You can just make out the milepost on the extreme left. It’s a handy scenery item and you can also use it during operations of course. We recently added mileposts to out public layout in Peachland and it enhanced out running nights significantly.
